The Registration committee will really, really be loving you if you were to
do three things before Nationals. Make sure your chapter is in good standing
with the National Office a.s.a.p. (Don't forget those AAMD's). Secondly,
make sure that your Voting Delegates are all cool with the National Office.
Make sure their membership is registered with Nat's and that they bring
their Membership card. Thirdly, if possible, make sure that all the Brothers
from your chapter bring their membership card to Nationals. If they have
lost their's the National Office will gladly replace it.

If your chapter is declared not in good standing before Nationals your
chapter could be ruled ineligible to vote in the legislative sessions. And
pleeze make sure that your delegates are all legit or else they may be
declared "registrationally challanged" and may have to spend time in the
dreaded problem line. One way one can make their stay there a little shorter
is upon reaching the front of the problem line, flashing that oh so valuable
membership card.

Here's some few suggestions on making your Registration experience more
enjoyable:
If you are taking somebody's place, let the National Office know
beforehand, if at all possible. If not, that is O.K., just let the
Brothers at the "info table" at registration know.

If you are a Petitioning Group, let the Brothers at the "info table" know,
they'll direct you to the right line.

Know your room number when you come down to register. It is needed on the
info card. Also know the name and phone number of someone "in case of an
emergency" We hope nothing happens, but just in case...

You can participate in early-bird registration on the night of Dec. 26
from 6-9. So avoid the rush register early.

Remember that Banquet tickets may not/propably not/in all likelihood will
not be available after Dec. 1. So buy your Banquet tickets when you
register. We may have a few tickets after that, but highly unlikely.

When you register you will get a chance to sign up for these oppotunites:
Service-Operation Whitewash; volunteer work such as Sargeant-at-Arms,
Floor Services & Printing and Publications, and the Leadership Development
Worskshop. Think about sending as many people to LDW as possible.
Each chapter can send up to 2 people per session. And since there
are 4 seminars total each chapter can send up to 8 people.

The Registration Committee is planning to make registering as simple and
painless as possible. And going to the problem line really isn't that bad,
Judy Mitchell (she runs registration) is wonderful lady, who you would
propably rather meet under better circumstances. So get those Chapter
Reaffirmations in, and get those membership cards. You don't need a card to
register, but it will make things go alot easier if there is a problem. And
remember those nice people in Independence, MO. have alot of work right now,
so the earlier you can send in any/all this stuff the better. They may not
be able to get everyone a new membership card, just make sure your voting
delegates have thiers.

Sorry to make this so long, we just want to make this the best Nationals
ever. See you all there, literally since I'll be in the Registartion room
for a LONG time, (Dec. 26th 6-9, Dec. 27th 8-5, Dec. 28th 8-2) Yes, that was
vaguely disguised as the registration times, so sue me!!! If you have any
questions feel free to write me privatly.

In Brotherhood,

Kim Harris
