Please, don't panic. It is true that our Convention hotel "room block" is
used up for New Years Eve. We even negotiated an additional 100 rooms a
few weeks ago, and that is gone. But please know two things.
First, the hotel still has plenty of rooms for the convention itself, and
it's big enough that it will not run out of rooms. The only problem is
New Years Eve.
You can make other arrangements to stay with someone, but a Sheraton at
the airport has agreed to provide us rooms on New Years Eve for $40/night.
So, worst comes to worst, you move your luggage, but the price is the
same.
The National Office has mailed out the information and toll free number
for the Sheraton (at least, I think it's a Sheraton). If you didn't see
it, call the office to get details. You will be taken care of -- assuming
you can afford $40/night.
