Brothers,
Not to change the subject on anyone, but I have a question for you
all and I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback that you have on
it. Thanks in advance! :)
My chapter is relatively new (only four years old) and one thing
that we have never really had here are chapter awards of any type. In
talking to other Brothers, I have found that many chapters find these to be
very important, and that they can indeed contribute to membership
retention. So, my question is this: What types of awards do you have in
your individual chapters? Do these encourage retention and active
participation? Are they something that work well for you, or is it
something that Brothers don't take much interest in?
I am very intersted in this, as we are trying to develope ideas for
our chapter. I would really like to hear from all of you. Also, how does
your chapter award DSKs and DSC's (Distinguised Service Certificates)? Are
there any set standards for this, or is it something that is dependent on
each chapter individually?
