    I totally agree with you in your aspects of changing the toast
song. Just as the Declaration of Independence now means all people
when it says, "All men are created equal," so I take it as "brother"
meaning all members. Changing this would change the harmony of the
song. Would "All people are created..." or "All men and women are..."
sound right to you? I don't believe so.
