I had a thought (yes just one), what if we put up an amendment that
stated that if a proposed amendment fails two years in a row, it cannot
be considered a third time in a row.
Rational: take the hypothetical situation.
Let's say that due to the fact the women were not officially allowed to be
full brothers until 1976, then no male would be allowed to join the
fraterinity for a two year period. (In other words not allow men in for
two years as repentence)
Now let's say that this was proposed at the 1992 & 1994 Conventions and
it failed both times. Then it would not be allowed to be reproposed
until the 1998 Convention.
Why? Because a small group (less than 3/4) keeps making a noise about
something that will never pass.
The above statement is a multi-pointed satairacal situation. I am NOT
proposing that we kick men out.
