I will appreciate whatever help can be given to the re-activation effort
of Alpha at Lafayette. An Advisor at Moravian College also works at
Lafayette and I hope to enlist his support because he already knows some
students at Lafayette that may have the leadership skills and charisma to
excite students about the potential Alpha Phi Omega has to offer. This
is a major, high priority goal of the 4 Chapters and 1 Petitioning Group
in Section 91.

If you know of Brothers in the Lehigh Valley or nearby in New Jersey,
Pocono region or Philadelphia region that can assist please pass their
name on to me.

The method of attack we last used at Lafayette had little effect so I am
open to new suggestions. Some of the Brothers in Section 91 have
proposed surveying students there and finding out what works in regards
to rush/recruitment techniques of the Greeks there. Lafayette has an
extremely strong Greek system and the response last time is what can APO
offer me that the other fraternities/ sororities can't? They also have a
strong service program without "commitment." So I will take any
suggestions that will help "sell" APO on this campus. The strategy I
used at Kutztown probably won't work at Lafayette because at KU there is
a weak Greek system and a community service office in it's first year of
existence. So selling the program here was easy. KU is upto 31 students
all intensely interested. For Brothers in the area KU is planning a
Petitioning Ceremony tentatively for April 11, 1995... More to follow...

Fraternally,
Pete Fagan
Section 91 Chair
