Agreed. If I heard that East Podunk U was getting rid of all of its
Fraternities, I wouldn't automatically assume that APO was getting nuked
there. I would be concerened though...

I think the spirit of the rule is understood. I wouldn't expect a chapter
to justify joining greek council because a Sorority was on it (the one
that is legally a sorority: Gamma Phi Beta). But if the Academic Honoraries
and/or professional societies are a significant part of the membership,
no problem....
There is nothing in the By-laws preventing Alpha Phi Omega National
Service Fraternity (the NATIONAL organization) from joining an
organization of National Social Fraternities. The by-law only applies to
chapters. :)

I'm sure there is a better description of what was created in Dallas than
a whosimawatsis, but I can't come up with one. What I don't know is
whether APO-USA National Convetions will still have to vote to give
APO-(New Country Q) the right to use our symbols and such in (New Country Q).
