To all brothers, pledges, petitioners and interest group members of
Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity,

This may be somewhat jumping the gun, but we're under a tight schedule.
Currently the National Board of Directors is voting on the re-chartering
application of the Beta Zeta Petitioning Group at the University of Georgia.

If all goes well (and I hope it does) our application for to be re-
chartered will be accepted. Assuming that all goes well, the Petitioning
Group at the University of Georgia has been planning the festivities for
the joyous event. This is the reason why we are on a tight schedule.

Our original chapter was Chartered on March 29, 1938. It was our
Petitioning Group's initial intention to be re-chartered on that same day
except that it falls on our Spring Break. As such, we have selected
April 8, 1995 to be our re-chartering date (if all goes well).

Since this date is vastly approaching, I wanted to send a post with
information about our re-chartering.

The Petitioners of the Beta Zeta Petitioning Group at the University of
Georgia formally request the presence of Y'ALL at our re-chartering
ceremony and first annual "Forget-me-not Ball". Both events will take
place in the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Georgia. We
are tentatively scheduling our re-chartering ceremony to be held
around 3PM at the University Chapel. Brothers from our Big Brother
chapter, Gamma Lambda at Clemson University will be performing our
initiation into Alpha Phi Omega. Directly afterward a small
reception will follow.

Later that evening, the Beta Zeta Chapter will hold their first annual
Forget-me-not Ball at the Athens Holiday Inn. Tickets are $27.50
per person/$50.00 per couple; this includes a formal sit down dinner,
entertainment, and favour.

All are welcome AND HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to share in this very special
ceremony with the petitioners of Beta Zeta. We hope that many of you
would like to road trip and join us.

If after reading this very, very long post would like additional information
please e-mail me at hknabe@uga.cc.uga.edu

In the spirit of Brotherhood,

Harry R. Knabe, Charter President
Beta Zeta Petitioning Group
The University of Georgia

P.S. If anyone from the National Board is "offended" by this
premature post, please don't hold it aganist us. We simply would
like to pass the word along to brothers and y'all so we could have
a great turnout for our re-chartering.
