Dear brother of Alpha Phi Omega,
My name is Heather Steward, Im the Public relations/Internal Communications
chair for the Zeta ALpha chapter at Bradley University...we have
been having a lot of brotherhood and service problems latley. Tonight
alone we have spent over a hour discussing what to do with brothers
who cronically miss chapter meetings, skip service projects etc.
We can't decide how to "punish" those who skip things. Just to put
things in perspective, we have a requirement of 25 service hours
a semester, about 6 events that are mandatory and weekly chapter
meetings that last at least an hour. On top of this we have bi-weekly
executive meetings and numerous friendshipo activities. Many of our
members have been de-activiating because they cannot meet these requirements...w
e
we are allowed to skip 3 meetings before being put in bad standing...
I am writing in a desperate plea for help from our brothers across
the nation...do you have any suggestions that we may use to hlep
bring the brotherhood back in our chapter? I can not sit through
one more chapter in which brothers nag at each other and nothing
gets done....
how many hours are you required to serve in a semester? Is there
anything you can suggest for me? I would really appreciate your help.
