Providing free night care can definitely be a hit. Our initial Kid's
Night Out was about 15-20 children. Our last one had to be cut off at 35
since we have become such a hit. The reason we cut it off last time was
because we need to maintain a 5-1 ratio in Children to adults at all time
and weren't sure we could do that with more than 35.

My main advise to you is to find people who enjoy being around children
and get them psyched about the event... I enjoy being around children,
but there seems to only be about 4 of those type at our last event. That
meant those four were doing most of the playing, etc. You need to make
the event fun for children... you just can't sit them on the floor and
say "okay, do what you want, I'm watching." Well, I guess you could but
that doesn't seem right to me. Plan activities for the children such as
arts & craft, shirt making, neckless making, games such as mother may I &
green light right light are pretty simple.... also bring movies (I'm
partial to Disney) to keep many entertained...

It is your show, however, so handle it as your group best sees fit. Our
popularity has risen from the facts that the Kid's enjoy it more than the
parents... (i.e. the kids reminds parents of kid's night out and don't
want to leave when it is over)...

Good Luck!
