APO-L isn't the place to discuss computer viruses. If you want more
information about virus, please check out the lists and newsgroups that
address computer virus issues. Here are some starting points:

Via the World Wide Web: The NIST (The National Institute of Standards
and Technology, I think) has a web site that is intended to be a
collection of pointers to useful information. The URL is
http://cs-www.ncsl.nist.gov/

Mailing Lists: The mailing list VIRUS-L is gatewayed to comp.virus and
is a discussion list about computer virus attacks. It has archives and a
large FAQ available for FTP from cert.org in pub/virus-l/FAQ.virus-l.

Anti-virus software: IBM PC software for dealing with viruses can be
FTP'd from the SimTel collection's virus subdirectory:
SimTel/msdos/virus/*. The primary site for SimTel is oak.oakland.edu,
and there are mirrors around, but the only one that I am sure of is
ftp.cdrom.com.
