To answer the questions regarding the DSK requirements, here's how Gamma Chi
chapter decides upon bestowing the award.
A vote is taken by secret ballot without any nominations, campaigning, or
discussion of candidates. If one Brother receives a majority vote then that
Brother is presented the award during Spring Formal, else the award is not
given.
We only hold elections once a year, but Brothers who graduated in the middle of
a school year remain eligible.
The result, for our chapter, is great respect and honor for the DSK. We have
not given one recently; however, no Brother feels rejected--it mearly raises
the prestige associated with the award.
