I always thought that with nationals, there is enough of a window in summer to
schedule a conference that people can get safely to, and plan their days off
around the same. When I had summer jobs during the summer, I was always able
at some point to take up to a few days off here or there. This also is the
time when students on the whole have the most money. After a semester and
christmas shopping, how much would one have left to spend on a potential
cross country trip?
And in regards to Christmas, many of my brothers' and my families often take
objection to leaving the holiday get together year after year to spend a few
days or more at some fraternity conference.
I think it is certainly a look, at least once. If it doesn't work, well, at
least we tried.
