Just a note that according to the National Articles of Incorporation, dated
February 1995, the official name of this organization is: Alpha Phi Omega.

The "National Service Fraternity" is a description, not a name. Actually,
that description should be changed to "International" since our signing with
the Phillipeans and our expansion efforts into Canada.

My impression after 3+ years in APO and numerous readings of "In the Beginning"
the pledge manual, and 2 national conventions is that our primary goal is
upholding a standard of man(person)hood that will last for all time. According
to "ITB", the "main goal would be 'to influence college men to be of service
to campus, community, and nation.'"

So, service is the key component to do that, while leadership, friendship,
and service serve as the 3 pillars of our standard.
