Congratulations go to Section 4 on an outstanding Fall Fellowship
Conference in Sacramento, CA October 21-22. The conference was jam
packed with both formal fellowship activities (such as relay races,
interchapter competitions, and a dance) and informal activities (such
as board games and impromptu volleyball). The conference also provided
an opportunity for the chapters to network, share events calendars, and
meet new people from across the section and from Region X as well.

Sunday's service project was held at a local ranch that is used to
teach young children about family farms and how they operated before
the age of technology and machinery. APO members in attendance braved
the chilling wind to clean out the barn area where educational displays
and presentations are made, and to prepare the garden that the children
will use to plant winter vegetables.

All in all, the Section 4 Fellowship Conference had something for
everybody who attended. Mucho kudos go to Jon Shavor (Conference
Chair), David Cohen (Section 4 Chair), and the Kappa Sigma chapter
(host chapter) on the planning and implementation of the conference!

In addition, Section 4 hosted the first planning meeting for the 1996
National Convention to be held in Phoenix, AZ. Conference attendees
had the opportunity to hear from Andrea Isaacs, National Convention
Coordinator, on preliminary convention information and to brainstorm
ideas for what they want to see from the convention. Additional
planning meetings will be held at the upcoming Section 7/8 Fellowship
Conference in Seattle, WA (October 28) and at the Section 1/2
Fellowship Conference at Castaic Lake, north of LA (November 11).

Upcoming spring leadership conferences include the Section 4 Conference
in San Jose, CA (February 24-25, 1996), Section 2 Conference (March
3-4, 1996), Section 7/8/14 Conference in Pullman, WA (April 12-14,
1996), and Section 1 Conference in San Luis Obispo, CA (April 27-28,
1996).

Love to see you at one or more of these conferences!

In LFS,
Teri Sheets :)
