Everything you Needed to Learn about Life after College, you Learned from
Alpha Phi Omega
Service
Short agendas always take the longest.
Sharing the work with everyone is better
than doing it yourself.
When you have a bad day, helping someone
always makes you feel better.
Laugh with yourself, not at yourself.
Time is 15 minutes slow, and you are
always on time (APO time).
A car will hold as many as it needs to.
In an election, it's okay to vote for
yourself.
Leadership
Brotherhood is beautiful.
Despite the differences, you learn to
work as a team for a common
goal.
You still don't know the difference
between the letter "P" and
the letter "Phi".
Be thankful for what you have.
No one will look out for you like your
Brothers do.
No one will talk about it for days after
it happened like they will either.
Songs like Paradise by the Dashboard Lights
and American Pie will always make
you smile.
Friendship
APO is the largest collegiate dating service
in the country.
Nothing good ever happens between 9 and 5.
There are some things that happened here,
both good and bad, that will never
be forgotten.
Respect for others for the commitments they
have made, just as you wish them to
respect you for yours.
You may even start to like those people that
you respect.
Is just not a true APO event unless Denny's,
Perkins, or IHOP is involved.
Most importantly, you learned that you earned
your Brotherhood and that you are
here because you proved yourself worthy
to your Brothers and, more importantly,
yourself.
Take that self knowledge with you where ever
you go in this world and nothing will
ever defeat you.
