One thing that I think helps Kappa Chapter pledges (and brothers) with
remembering to wear the pin is our Pin Challenge.

This Challenge is purely voluntary, but we highly encourage everyone to
get involved, and usually succeed. The idea is: have each
brother/pledge offer a "reward" for catching them without their pin.
Many people decide to offer dinners or CDs are rewards. Then, when a
pledge catches a brother, or vice versa, the catcher "wins" the reward
offered by the catchee. Normally, brothers cannot catch brothers and
pledges cannot catch pledges, although we're not strict about this. Now
we also impose a limit to the number of times someone can get caught,
particularly for those that live off campus and cannot retreive their
pins as easily as us dorm-residing brothers.

This really helped me remember to were my pledge pin, since I had
decided to offer a from-scratch apple pie. Several of the brothers
ended up watching me like hawks, just waiting for a pie. So, I ended up
being _very_ careful to wear my pin (part of the morning ritual of
checking that I have everything, wallet, glasses, keys, pin, etc.).

The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of
people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.---D.Adams
