At Delta, we do something similar. When one of the pledges leaves
his manual lying around, a brother will confiscate it and post a "ransom"
for the pledge class as a whole to complete in order for the manual to be
returned. The ransom is something constructive, usually something like
getting signatures, or complete 5 service hours, or something like that.
By getting the pledge class as a whole involved, it encourages pledge
unity and teamwork.
