Well first you assume that just because nationals did something
that I think that I support that decision. I go along with a great deal
of the 'stuff' that is handed down, but that does not mean I support it
(note however I'm even if I could be active that doesn't mean I'd ignore
such directives and risk a chapter charter). More often that not I
suspicous of everything nationals hands down.
Now somewhat more to the point, It may well be true that the
oath is in the pledge standards (I don't have a handy copy so I cannot
confirm or deny it's presence), but I for one still feel that the oath is
a central part of the ritual. After all the rest of the ceremony kinda
loses something if the oath isn't part of it. Any comments?
