Dear Brothers (and anyone else who reads):
As many of you know (and for those of you that don't), I tend to
write very profound statements about this organization. Therefore, in
honor of the 70th Anniversary, I wrote this poem and quote. Take it back
to your chapters and share it with all whom speak of APO. If you do so,
let me know what the reaction was, if any.
IN LEADERSHIP, FRIENDSHIP, AND 70 YEARS of SERVICE!

Time of Service
In the darkness, you are the light.
In the homeless, you are the home.
In the kitchen, you are the soup.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.
In the tears, you are the shoulder.
In the battery, you are the friend.
In the sickness, you are the cure.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.
In the crisis, you are the phone.
In the fire, you are the water.
In the flood, you are the sand.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.
In your group, you are a leader.
In your gang, you are a friend.
In the event, you are the service.
No matter the call, you are the time of service.

"In ev'ry age there are leaders.
In ev'ry age there are friends.
In ev'ry age there are servers.
God rest the day, when we don't need one."
