Subject: Top Ten Reasons To Be A Chapter President
I ask the outgoing presidents for words of advice they would give to
the incoming fraternity/sorority leaders. I took the liberty to put
some of the suggestions in an all too familiar format. For what it's
worth:
The Top Ten Reasons To Be A Chapter President
10. You get to learn parliamentary procedure
9. There is little appreciation
8. You have to be ready to solve everbody's problems
7. You have to relate to everyone's needs
6. You have to get people involved and motivate them
5. You have the earn the membership's respect and not assume you have
it just because you are president
4. You can't please everyone all of the time and you can't be afraid
to do what is right even if a lot of people disagree
3. You get to set the tone for the chapter
2. You have power
and
1. Sometimes you have to be a hard-ass
