Hi all!!
It's me again about this pre-petitioning group in Reno. We had a small
meeting last Saturday to plan for Spring Rush, and here's what we came up
with. (For all in active chapters in Section 4, you'll hear this again
at a meeting soon, assuming quick mail delivery.)
We have set up rush/info days as Feb 1-5 (Thurs - Mon), with info
meetings Thurs, Fri, and Mon evenings and a service/fellowship on
Saturday afternoon and evening. We are also going to try setting up info
tables and/or passing out flyers during this week (as well as flyers on
campus the week before noting when and where, etc.). Nothing is set in
stone yet, but we're working on it. Saturdays's project may be helping the
local animal shelter or something in a park. There's a possibility of
laser tag games and/or movies Sat night to get to know people (both
Brothers who come to help out and interested prospective members).
This message is to let everyone in the vicinity of Reno, NV know what is
going on and that you are welcome (and encouraged) to come and help us
out and to request tips on what kinds of info/fraternity stories/etc to
give at info meetings. (And maybe what types of get-to-know-you games are
good to play (or bad!).)
**Remember that hotel rooms in Reno tend to run pretty cheap! :) **
(We're working on a real tentative deal to get inexpensive rooms at the
Silver Legacy, one of Reno's newest and most interesting hotel/casinos.)
If you know you (or your chapter!) can come to help us out, please let me
know by Fri, Jan 19 (to help plan rooms, if need be, and the size of the
service project and meeting rooms to shoot for).
I will send more info to those who request it when I have it (hopefully
early next week).
