The "Big 9" are the Historically Black Social Fraternities. They include
the 4 fraternities and 4 sororities that make up the NPHC (F: Alpha Phi
Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Alpha Psi, and Phi Beta Sigma and S: Alpha
Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi beta) as
well as Iota Phi Theta which joined the IFC.
