"Security leak"?  what makes you think this is confidential info.  Hotels
swap information about groups all the time.  Hotel sales people move
around a lot so even with out a lot of formal info exchange, there is a
lot of info transfer.

And, oh yeah, when you start talking to a hotel about a conference one of
the first things they want to know is where you've held the conferecnce
in the past and what the numbers were.
