Our chapter at the University of Texas at San Antonio, will be going
through training to become a disaster service team for the American Red
Cross in late August.
Here is where I need some HELP from the chapters that are already doing
this. I am working on developing a policy that will allow the APO
members to receive excused absences from class. i.e. no penalty for
making up quizzes, tests, mid-terms or finals. This would only take
effect if the Red Cross 'activates' our chapter.
I have already sent some feelers out through the university
administration and they suggested looking for existing policies at other
schools. Hence this posting. I will also be working with the Red Cross
in this.
