I have a question to ask. A Circle K chapter was started last year on
our campus. THis year the student governmnt has placed both our organizations
in the same office. I know a lot of other chapters have a circle k on their
campus and I need some questions answered.
How well does both organizations get along with each other?
Are their any conflicts such as either organization taking memebership
away from each other?
Has any chapter shared offices with Circle K? How did it work out if so?
lastly some advice for possible projects we both can do together.
The reasons for these questions is because the head of the Circle K chapter
does not like the idea of sharing an office with us. They feel that we would
take service ideas away from them. Which of course is not true considering we
do have a very well planned self sufficient service program. They also fear
that we will take away their membership. Another case that I do not see
happening.
The Circle K chapter will make this the third service organization on campus.
We also have a Community Action Corps. We all have the same emphasis on
service. APO and CAC have not had any problems in the past and I hope we do
not have any with Circle K. Your responses are greatly appreciated and I hope
thatCircle K and our chapter can come to an understanding of our two
organizations.
