Matt...It depends on your definition of largest. Of the Greek letter
groups that have any sort of pledging, we have given out the most charters,
have the most chapters, and currently have the most active members. As
far as I know, we have yet to have the most initiated in this group that I
defined. Pi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society has more charters
given out of all the Greek Letter groups total. According to
Baird's (Gee! I love my husband's library.), they have given out a charter
to Yale which is Alpha Epsilon Gamma.
Also, the NPHC groups tend to have graduate chapters while we don't have
them. At Frostburg State, there exists two chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha
(One for the undergraduates and one for the graduate students).
But for your purposes, you can easily make the claim of largest Fraternity.
No one can dispute you entirely.
