Before anyone propogates alarming info, please verify it yourself. No
matter what the cause, just say No to chain letters, even if it seems
like a nice thing to do. This DB came up on our chapter's alumni list,
and this is what someone who followed the instructions and called the
number found out.

According to the 800 number, what is included is _your_ maiden name, not
your _mother's_ maiden name (there's a big difference there). The
"personal information" is rather limited (call to find out exactly what
_will_ be listed). Also, they insist that this is a
business-to-business service which will only be marketed to attorneys
and law enforcement agencies, not to consumers or other individuals, so
the chances of this contributing to fraud are slim.

(Need I point out that such fraud would likely be easily traceable.)
