Hi all,
I just wanted to announce a service opportunity for those of
y'all who will be in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday, October 5, 1996.

The 15th Annual Norfolk SPCA Dog Walk
Who: Norfolk, Virginia SPCA
What: A Two (2) mile walk in the Stockley Gardens area of Ghent.
Where: Stockley Gardens in lovely Ghent located in almost downtown Norfolk.
When: Saturday, October 5th @ 11:00 AM
RAINDATE: Sunday, October 6th
Why: To help raise money for the Norfolk SPCA.
DETAILS: To take part in the Dog Walk you must either go out and get
people to pledge donations to the Norfolk SPCA or make a small donation
yourself. From what I understand, there is no set minimum amount of
money needed to participate in the walk. However, a $50 amount will get
you a t-shirt. Also, prizes will be given out for highest amounts
collected as well as door prizes for those who participate in the walk.
Keep in mind that some sort of donation must be given on Saturday,
October 5th before you can "officially" participate in the walk. ALL
pleades/donations must be turned in on October 5th.
You may bring your dog along with you. Please keep in mind that
your dog must be on a leash at all times and you must be able to provide
record of all current shot as well as your dog license.
There are many more details, but I am not going to take up any
more of y'alls time than I have to. Please email me if you want more
info or would like a sponsor sheet to participate in the want. If

year old Chow Chow) and I will be out having some fun!

opportunity to provide service to the community. This project is NOT
affiliated with any of the local chapters (ABO, NR, Christopher Newport
Univ (Sorry, I can't remember the chapter designation), or Virginia
Wesleyan Petitioning Group). This is merely an announcement from a
brother who will be participating in this event as a Norfolk resident who
happens to be a brother.
