Dear Alexander,
Thank you for your comments on our web page. I do hope that you will
find time to visit it!

As the webpage maintainer for several different organizations, I do
not feel that it is demeaning to comment that the site is under
construction. Yes, to a certain extent a site is always under
construction, but at least in the case of high-quality sites it is
only under construction in the sense that a finished novel is a work
in progress... you might find a way to make improvements down the
road, but a "finished" site has developed most of its potential and
is complete as presented.

On the other hand, a webpage under construction is just that.
Although it might give the title of the page, and one or two links,
it is not a fully exploited resource as yet. I really think that any
attempt by myself or my chapter to represent it as such would be
misleading and result in some disappointment.

And as for the issue of the nonexistent links, let me assure you that
we don't have any of those on our page. However, for people who are
currently and consistently working on a page under construction, and
especially for people who use specialized HTML editors, it may be
more expedient in the long run to go ahead and write links that you
know will be up in a few days.

If I can be of any help to you or to any other sib in setting up a
web page, please let me know. I've found it's a really good way to
stay in touch with old members and meet new sibs from across the US.
I'm sending this to the whole listserv because I think the issue
of internet communication (including this listserv) is a very
important one to the future of our fraternity.

Your sib in Lexington, Ky,
Beverly Moore
AZ Communications Chair
