National Service Day this year is Saturday, November 2. The theme is Natural
Disaster Preparedness & Personal Safety. I hope your project plans are all going
well. Check out the NSD Handbook for details and more ideas. (it's got a green
cover with the logo on it, was mailed in early September) Still stuck? Call your
local Red Cross Chapter and ask - they are mostly volunteers and should be able
to help you arrange something.
On Oct 18, the NSD Stickers were mailed out to all chapters etc. They are
printed in the real logo colors - bright blue, green and gold - they look just
like large versions of the pin. You can wear them that day, or stick them on
publicity, or be more creative. The National Office does have some more, so if
you need them, call fast!
Remember the NSD Goals: Project on the Theme; Involve Others; Get Publicity; Aim
for Nov 2. And don't forget to send in a report!!
