I'm not going to debate whether we would have lasted as long if we were
still all male. But I want to thank Lee and the others who have shown
that it is time to stop openly violating our national by-laws and have
all chapters become co-ed. The all-male chapters are in direct violation
of the national by-laws that say we are open to any student on campus, the
agreement in '76 has lasted 20 years and it's time to end it. Also, and
more importantly, it is a blatant sexual discrimination case, that would
stand less than the proverbial snowballs chance in hell if a female was
preventing from becoming a member because of her sex. I know this is
going to be an even more volatile topic than the brothers/sisters addition
to the toast song, so if you can't reply in a Brotherly manner with respect
and tolerance (which was what Horton found) than don't do it.

Also, we are not officially tied to the BSA, so we can't be a boy scout
organization. Just because a good percentage of our members are former
or current Scouters, doesn't make us a boy scout organization. (and before
you get any ideas, I'm from the Eagle Scout Class of '80, Brotherhood member,
and past lodge Advisor)

I thought our purpose was to become leaders, friends and to do service to
others. Since when did continuing as Scouters enter in to it?
