Well...not let me ask this since I have so many people up in arms over the
co-ed vs all-male thing......
Scenario: My brother (sibling) pledge APO at Beta, he says that
APO and Beta are awesome. Through all his talking he encourages me to
pledge this co-ed service fraternity called APO because he know that ever
since I was a little kid I've been doing some kind of community based
service.......
Problem: I just happen to be attending a school where an all-male
chapter exists, uh oh...guess that squashes my hope of ever being a
brother of APO, even though I've been encouraged by another brother. Now
I don't want to join another group, be it GSS or some other "female"
service group. What happens to me? Am I considered just another loss to
APO??? What happens to all the other women who desire to pledge APO on an
all male chapter campus?? Are they also considered just as expendible?? I
don't understand how APO can continue to turn away people when all the
literature that is out there for RUSH and just plain information is saying
that we, APO, are open to all who have the desire to uphold the desires of
APO: leadership, friendship, and service.
I know this is going to keep the fires burning but to me this is
an important topic.
