I have felt this way too, and it upset me at the time. Yet, when i
looked back on it later,i relaized: why should i base my opinion of
all male chapters on the actions/words of a couple of the members?
I was offended at the time. But I stood up for myself by saying "I'm a
brother. My chapter says i'm a brother, the national office says i'm a
brother. I did what it took to become a brother, i pledged just like you."
( i'll leave out the other stuff) Anyway, I believe they began to see that.
I hold NO grudge against them or the chapter. In fact i respect them for
wanting to keep with their chapter's traditions and the other reasons
that have been stated for wanting to stay all male.

Yes, we do open our membership to all students on campus. and yes we
have 2, count em' 2 men in our chapter. (one brother, one pledge) We do
TRY to get men, it's jsut you would have to go here (Radford) to understand
why we don't have them. VERY FEW males on this campus want to Join a "service
fraternity" It's just not macho enough here. If you aren't in a frat that
is totally in to partying/getting laid then it's not "cool" (sorry to be
so blunt)
yes there was a time when we were ALL FEMALE. it wasn't something we
could Control...it just happened. But I just don't have any problem with
all male chapters. Let them be. leave them alone.
