I'm not going to touch the subject of all-male chapters because I've never been
to a campus that had one so I don't know firsthand how they differ, if at all,
from coed chapters (other than the one obvious way). However, something I do
know a lot about is sexism in coed chapters. While I was active (I graduated
in 1993), not only was blatant sexism common in my chapter, but horribly sexist
people were routinely elected as officers.
Is this common in other chapters? What experiences have others had with this
in their chapters? Might this be residual to the all-male beginnings of the
organization?
