I believe what happened in 1976 is that the members of the Fraternity
(who were all male) voted to allow women to join the Fraternity,
which they did not have to do. They also agreed not to force
individual Chapters to admit women so that they could get this
passed. Please correct me if I've misunderstood.
First, as a brother who took an oath to obey the Scout Law,is going
back on a promise in following with that oath?
Second, and I am also a female brother, what right do women have to
come into a formerly all-male Fraternity that allowed us membership
then turn around and stab those members in the back that opened the
door to us with trust, hoping that we would honor their agreements.
Just my opinion.
