Well, I've just been listening to this whole All Male / Co-Ed Debate for
awhile now, and I guess I'll throw in my 2 cents worth... (searching in my
pocket now for some change ;-)

It seems to me that the National Fraternity is governed by the individual
chapters and active brothers at the universities where it operates. As a
general rule, this governance is by majority rule, meaning that the
MAJORITY of chapters gives the mandate to govern. Knowing this, and
knowing that there are (and have been for the last twenty years) numerous
female brothers, some of which who have transferred or went to school at a
college with an all-male chapter, it does not seem fair for any chapter to
deny ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP to any previously inducted brother, simply based on
this fact. Furthermore, if the number of All-Male chapters is, and
continues to be, a minority, then I think the majority will eventually win.

On another note (not really related, but sort of), is the fact that I
believe half of all brothers (on the national level) are female and half
are male. That would be roughly a 50/50 ratio, and I believe that number
may even be slightly slanted to the female end...

Just adding my 2 cents... :-)
