Brothers--
It is with great honour and pleasure that I tender an
invitation to our brotherhood. The students at McGill University,
Montreal PQ have worked long and hard this semester to first organize,
then achieve interest group. It is with great pleasure that I announce
that they have now fulfilled the criteria for becoming a Petitioning
Group of Alpha Phi Omega. The ceremony is slated for November 30th,
1996. We are well aware this is Thanksgiving Weekend in the United
States, but would like to tender an invitation to anyone who wishes to
attend the ceremony for the first petitioning group in Canada. Please
join myself, Cheryl Smith (Region I Director), Dave Emery (Member at
large for International Affairs), The Phillipine Alumni Association of
Montreal, and the big brother chapter, Alpha Gamma Eta Chapter (UVM)
for this occasion. Directions and further information will be sent on
RSVP. RSVP's should be directed to Section 94 Fellowship Chair,
Jeffery Carson, jcarson@titan.oit.umass.edu or myself. Official paper
invitations will be following in the next few days.
One further note that people should be aware of is if you are
not a US or Canadian citizen you will need to check with your
consulate or the Canadian Consulate about entry requirements into
Canada. US citizens will need one of following three documents:
passport, drivers license, or birth certificate and official photo
ID. I look forward to more messages of this nature as efforts proceed
at five other schools in Canada at this time.
