Hi. This is Shannon Davis from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
Our chapter (Chi Kappa) was originally chartered in April, 1971, but became
inactive during the late 1970's. After 18 long, hard months, we became a
rechartered chapter yesterday, November 17, 1996. The Chi Kappa chapter has
over 20 rechartering members. We had the honor of our chapter's first
president, an original charter member, at our ceremony, as well as brothers
from several of our section's chapters. We would like to thank all of the
people who were instrumental in this event, and we look forward to getting to
know more of our brothers. We also ran a pledge class this semester, and I
would like, as Membership VP to recognize them, as well as the petitioners who
became brothers yesterday.
