The Beta Rho chapter has been working to develop an online resource for
Scouts to assit them in earning their awards and badges. The site is
currently online, and is schuduled to officially open in January, 1997.
Another focus of the website is to serve as a point of information
regarding all chapters that are sponsoring Scouting U, MBU, badge day, or
simialr projects. It is our hopes that the site will assist other
chapters interested doing a Scouting U project to start one on their
campus.
Also, coming online in the next couple of weeks will be a listserv for the
purpose of discussing Scouting UNiversity, to echange ideas, information,
etc... I will post more information on SCOUTU-L as it becomes available.
The website will have a contact page for chapters sponsoring Scouting U
and similar projects on their campuses. If your chapter conducts a
similar project plese take time to fill out the information below and
return it to <scouting@cavern.uark.edu>.

misc: Scouting University is held each Spring on a Saturday. Badges are
offered to both Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops; and Adult leader
training, workshops, and roundtables are also offered. We have been
offering Scouting University to local units since Spring 1991, and
average over 300 Scouts in attendance each year.
