Hi there my brothers! I am sure most of you don't know me, so let me
introduce myself. My name is Marnie and I am a member of APO at the
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I am writing you all to tell
you about our annual ski trip. We will be heading to Sundown Mountain in
Dubuque, Iowa. (Don't ask why Iowa.) We are going Friday December 17th
and will stay till Sunday the 19th. I realize this may be short notice,
and for that I am sorry. But none the less, we would love to have you
join us. Our chapter will have about 50-60 members. You do not need to
ski to go. In fact, I refuse to ski, but I am going. I went last year
and it is sooooo much fun. We came home with tons of stories and
memories. The hotel has an indoor pool and hottub. (You can drink in
the hottub, for those of you who would like to partake in that.) All the
hotel rooms have VCR's. I cannot explain how wonderful a time it is.
In the past, in the evenings we swim, hottub, and have little "parties"
in the hotel rooms. You can tell the hotel you are having 4 people in a
room, but you can house up to 8 people in their sleeping bags. (We
usually have 6 people per room.) We will be staying at the Best Western
Midway (1-800-33-MIDWAY.) Due to this late notice on our part, if you
want to go (and you know you all want to go), you will need to arrange
your own hotel arrangements. If you want, we can get you a group
discuont for skiers though, but we will need the moneyand rental info by
Dec12th. Our ski rates are $24 for the lift pass only, and $45 for lift
pass, rental and free lesson. If you are renting, send your name, age,
shoe size, height, weight, address, and ski ability (beginner,
intermediate, and expert) to George Bonheyo, 1146 Pomona Dr. Champaign,
IL, 61821. Anyway, we really would love to have as many people from your
chapters as possible. Ski trip always proves to be a great time. In the
past it has been a wonderful bonding experience for our chapter and we
would love the chance to get to know our brothers from other schools.
Please consider joining us, after all, there is no school that Monday
(King's b-day.) If you have any questions, directingthem to George. You
can e-mail him at: george-bonheyo@qs1.life.uiuc.edu
Thanks for all your time, and good luck with exams.
In L, F, and S (ski trip!),
