Hello, Brothers.
I have recently joined apo-l and I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Gail Rahn and I am the VP membership for Gamma Pi chapter,
University of Michigan (~125 actives), where I am a junior, concentrating in
computer science. I am originally from Narragansett, Rhode Island. I work for
the University of Michigan Weather Underground, and I do some contract work
for our commercial counterpart (http://blueskies.sprl.umich.edu/ and
http://www.wunderground.com/, respectively). My personal interests
include reading contemporary fiction, running, and gourmet vegetarian and
vegan cuisine. I am proficient in the Italian language. I am moderately
active in the LGB community on campus.
I have been a brother since Winter 1995 and I'm hopelessly addicted to
APO. In the past I have administrated my chapter's computer conferencing
system and developed membership retreats. My current challenges as VP
Membership include instilling & maintaining leadership skills at all
levels of my chapter, developing spirit and motivating my chapter, and
creating meaningful membership retreats. My committee and I have had some
definite success with these challenges and I am happy to share my
experiences and policies.
