Understanding the extenuating circumstances with Region IX and
the past RD living extremely close to the border of the
region, there are some items that speak to the issue of where
the RD's can live in the National By-Laws.
Article IX describes the formation and duties of the Regional Leadership.
The only mention of where the RD can live is
Article VI, National Board of Directors, Section 5. Regional Directors.
"There shall te ten (10) Regional Directors serving on the National
Board of Directors. They shall be elected in the manner prescribed
in Article XI, Section 2 of these Bylaws to serve until the next
National Convention, but only as long as they maintain residence within
the region they were elected to represent."
Maybe an issue that you would want to address in two years if you believe
that you might want to be represented by an individual that does not live
in your region.
