A few of us were wondering and decided to take a survey.
We would like your comments on the wearing of Scout uniforms at
National banquets as an informal show of support for the memebers
(active and retired) of Girl Scouting and Boy Scouting.
We also want to include all other youth organizations that have
uniforms. (I know Campfire Girls does but that 4-H does not.)
Obviously, we are talking about wearing the adult version of the uniform
and are not asking you to try to squeeze into your Brownie or Cub Scout
uniform.
Second question: If the above is in the affirmative, should we wear the
uniforms at the Fellowship (first) banquet which is traditionally less
formal or should we wear them at the Awards (second) Banquet which is
traditionally more formal?
We were not thinking of making this a requirement but a suggestion (There's
enough legislation at Convention already.) so that all Brothers can see how
many people are really involved with youth movement organizations.
Please direct comments, votes, and suggestions to my private account at
<blakelya@vt.edu>. Thanks or your time.
