We do the "trainwreck" game as well, but a little differently. With
everyone sitting in a circle, "it" approaches a person and says, "Hi, my
name is ____." The person sitting says, "Hi, my name is ____" He then
turns to the person on his left and introduces them to "it" by saying
"I like my friend ___" and then repeats it for the person on his right.
(This is facilitated by everyone wearing name tags.) Then the person
sitting says, "I like everyone wearing ______" then everyone wearing that
article of clothing (or hair color or eye color, etc.) gets up and runs
around to find a chair. And of course the person left standing is "it."
We like this version of the game because it's fun and kinda rowdy and
definitely not boring, but also because it starts people learning each
others' names. :)
