I'd just like to respond to a couple of points that were brought up
during the advisor discussion--before you propose any "requirements" for
advisors, be sure and check with your university first!  Remember, some
universities may have guidlines regarding advisor involvement.  Also,
before you decide to propose requirements, check with the advisors
first.  We had this debate in our chapter last year--the chapter didn't
know what the role of the advisor was and there were differing
interpretations.  Above all, talk to them and check with the university
first.
