Thanks to all of you who have been posting on my chapters dilema,
I guess as I reread what I wrote last night I was kinda frustrated and so
clarity wasn't at the forefront of my mind. So I wanna kinda clear up
what happened AS I UNDERSTAND IT. What I am saying is not precisely what
happened just what was told to the actives at the meeting.

Like I said over the summer "Jill" changed banks on us stating
that the rates were better. She got personal checks AND an ATM card.
When she told the exec board this we were all kind of frustrated at this
but we said OK. The semester wore on and she made announcements to pay
dues and told us how much was in the account at every meeting.
Everything seemed fine. At the end of the semester she stated that the
account was dangerously low. It didn't dawn on anyone. Then we held
elections and elected a new treasurer. They never did get the records
from "Jill" who moved to the other side of the state for a job. We
seized a hold of the account and discovered that there was only $32 left
and she didn't even send in money to National for actives and NI's we had
enough for that according to one report-that totaled to over $800,
so it wasn't a one time grab and run thing, it was gradual. Now we want
to look at the check she wrote but can't because the first three are free
but it is $5 for each one after that. Our president has been trying to
call and get a hold of her (calling almost every other day), and he is in
contact with the prosecuting attorney's office. This is where it stands
right now. Hope this clears it up some. Unfortunately response has been
so great I haven't had time to sort through it all. I will try to do
that later.
