Subject: APhiO McGill

6 March 1997

Brods and Sis,

In behalf of the Alpha Phi Omega Petitioning Group of McGill University, it is my honor
and pleasure to announce that we are now a full-pledged student organization.
APhiO-McGill University is the first petitioning group outside of the USA and the
Philippines, and, is now also the first APhiO collegiate organization to gain full
recognition from a Canadian university. The news was relayed today at 1500 hrs by Mark
Feldman, VP-Internal Affairs of the Student Society and Micheal Kotler, President of the
Inter-Greek Lettered Council. The corresponding paperwork to formalize the new status
of APhiO will be finalized within the week. Full recognition will entitle APhiO with
office space, funding and a vote in Student Council legislation at McGill University.

In the service of APhiO I remain,

Sonny "Papits" Fernandez (ETA 81-A)
President, APhiO-McGill University Petitioning Group
Member, APO-Alumni Association of Montreal
