-Brownie Girl Scout 1976-1978
-Junior Girl Scout 1978-1982
-Cadette Girl Scout 1982-1985
-Senior Girl Scout 1985-1987
-Daisy (Kindergarteners) Girl Scout Troop Leader 1986-1987
-Received the Girl Scout Gold Award 1985
-Voted Most Outstanding Graduating Senior Girl Scout by the Pine and Dunes
Girl Scout Council 1987
-Tried to organize Campus Girl Scouts at my college but it didn't work out 1987
Had Scouting not been part of APO, I would not have joined. My college did
not allow Greek organizations and I had an atitude that anything with Greek
letters was a fall-down-drunk-we-do-nothing-but-party club. Then I met
Fuzz wearing and APO shirt on a cross-country train. As I was about to
completely ignore him for being "one of those drunken frat boys" he
mentioned that APO was based on Scouting. That softened me enough to
listen, become really excited to join, work an entire year to become a
Brother, start a PG, and go to a National convention where I met my now
husband. THANKS Fuzz!
As for my Girl Scout involvement now, I am an extra hand for field trips
for a Daisy/Brownie combined troop. They have yet to need me. This year's
schedule is too busy to take my own troop but I will in the future.
