*Sigh* More SPAM.
I suspect many of you have already realized it, or just deleted this without
reading it, but this is just another varient of the pyramid scheme. I
generally simply ignore spam, because there's no reason to fill everyone on
the list's mailboxes with discussion about what twits spammers are and I
appreciate the fact that everyone else has been doing the same lately. But
I figured it's time to post a couple of reminders.
Spammers are an annoyance, but they are an inconvience we have to put up
with in order to gain other conviences.
Please don't respond to SPAM, much of it is scams designed so the
perpetrator can make a few bucks off the unsuspecting. Other flavors of
SPAM are designed to make life miserable for someone -- the apparent sender
isn't the actually sender, but the apparent sender is the one who'll take
all the flack. And still others are just someone thinking he or she is being
clever.
